aches

In my third trimester of pregnancy, I suffered from severe lower back and sciatica pain. I went to see many specialists in different fields including Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Doctors. All in which provided no long term relief. I was told my many healthcare professionals that there wasn’t anything that could be done. It got to the point that I was in severe pain just by simply moving my legs to walk. I had multiple colleagues strongly recommend Rhys.

After only one session with Rhys, I felt relief. I liked the gentle nature of his sessions as he was very considerate of the comfort of me and baby. I left feeling relaxed and revived. Each session resulted in me having increased movement, which allowed me to slowly regain the ability to walk properly and stand up, sit up and lay down without assistance.

I could not recommend Rhys more for pregnancy aches or even general sciatic pain.

I am a female in my 50s who has been experiencing scoliosis and back pain for years. Then I discovered Pax Bodywork and decided to give it a try. I felt a deep sense of relaxation from the very first session. Rhys's combination of zero balancing and craniosacral therapy has helped me to release the tension in my spine, improve my posture and alignment, and reduce pain and inflammation.

He also provides my body a chance to reset by reducing the tension in the surrounding tissues and balancing the nervous system. I have been seeing Rhys for 8 months now. I feel more relaxed, flexible, and energetic than before. Rhys is a skilled and compassionate therapist who listens to my needs and tailors the sessions accordingly. I also appreciate that the treatments are gentle and non-invasive.

I highly recommend Pax Bodywork to anyone who is looking for a holistic and effective way to heal their body and mind. Give your body a chance to discover peace.

Every 3 weeks for over a year now I have been having ZB sessions with Rhys, and I have just booked in the diary the appointments for the next 12 months. What started as a way to reduce the pain in my hip, turned into a 'head to toe, mind and soul' session that I know makes a difference in my life.

After more than a decade of trying Physio, OT, acupuncture, hydro therapy etc I saw an advert on FB for ZB.

It made sense to me that you need to treat the whole body, that you can get deferred pain and that by working on the whole body you bring back the balance that not only helps the injured part but also your body as a whole. Everyone else had only focused on the hip and that didn't work so I decided to give it a try....... I am so pleased that I did.

I recently walked the hill to Colonial Knob, a year ago it was too painful to walk on the flat around the block without stopping. I tried Jet skiing for the 1st time and loved it. I'm now planning 'to do' rather than 'waiting to see'. The pain is reduced, I now say YES again to walks and adventures. I can sit and work without constant pain. I know that everyday when I push by body hard on a walk or in the garden that it is normal to get sore, I also know with confidence that since starting ZB sessions I recover much quicker.

Each session I feel peaceful and relaxed, I leave with confidence that we have just pushed 'reset' and that each time the reset level gets higher.

Thanks Rhys, I am very grateful.

PTSD from Pain to Triumph

PTSD from Pain to Triumph

Hi everyone

I just wanted to share my experiences with Rhys and Pax Bodywork and the changes I have seen in myself. I am in my 50’s, I have had long term pain and stiffness in my neck and hips due to an accident 25 years ago, I am dyslexic and to boot have a diagnosis of PTSD from childhood trauma which has caused me to hold a lot of tension in my body, not be at home in my body, get anxious and I found it hard to stay grounded in certain situations.

At the end of 2019 I was looking for something that could support me from many dimensions to heal, rebalance and release emotions, memories, pain (physical and emotional). I wanted something physically based that could help unlock what I felt stored/ stuck in my body. Someone I knew referred me to Rhys.

Rhys is such as nice, gentle person who is very passionate about what he can offer. When I explained what I was after he suggested that it would be important to create a level of trust first before we could start working at some of underlying causes and he created a space that enabled this.

I have now been receiving regular treatments from him for over a year. The treatments are really relaxing and done fully clothed. Fourteen months on I feel like a new person. My hips are now level and I rarely get pain in them, this has helped straighten my spine which has taken tension out of my back and shoulder and I no longer notice pain in my neck.

This has helped me to pick up more exercise and I feel much stronger in my core body. My body feels grounded and balanced and I feel like I am thriving.

Emotionally this process has really supported me as it has helped me become aware of where I am holding my emotions and anxiety in my body and the treatments have assisted to release these. This has made me more conscious of how I store emotions in my body during the day and has helped me find ways outside of treatment sessions to keep releasing them. The treatments have certainly assisted me (along with counselling and a lot of work on myself) become free from my past and let go trauma and the wounds created by that.

Definitely feeling happy, free, connected and grounded and pain free these days.

Even though we (probably) haven't met, I want you to try it, because I want you to feel good. I want you to feel the kind of unbelievably better that I have been feeling since my first Zero Balancing session with Rhys in late 2020.

Rhys offers your money back if you don't feel better after the first session, so you have nothing to lose.

I have had hip, lower back, sub-scapular, shoulder and/or neck pain for most of the last 25 years. Draining. Sometimes disabling.

I walked into my first Zero Balancing session with Rhys, with a limp, initially too sore to have my lower spine touched. As Rhys worked on me, I could feel a flow of energy moving within me. When I walked out it was smoothly, upright, and pain free.

When the person who dropped me off at the door for my first session saw me walk out, they called out "Wow - what a difference that made! What happened in there?!?"

During the session, early on, I felt unexpected, old emotions arise, then leave in peace.

I didn't anticipate getting improved mental clarity. Now, I over-think less, and instead, feel physically comfortable and energetic enough to tackle numerous (previously daunting) tasks in my life. I cannot overstate how much better this state of affairs is for me.

At the start of a session, Rhys asks how I want to feel at the end. I ask for, and get, a sustained feeling of being calm and energised.

I have been able to return gently, to horse riding, which uplifts me further. I am deeply grateful.

Now, when I ride, I am pain free, when it had caused me pain for decades.

I am able to ride with more ease, less effort, and to be clearer and more effective with my aids.

Rhys keeps learning new material as it becomes available. After applying the twisted pelvis technique in the last session, it was immediately easier to be balanced, and grounded standing up.

In the saddle this translated to being effortless to drape my legs in the right place, and to hold my lower legs steady.

My horse riding instructor commented on my improved position. When I spoke about the benefits I get from Rhys' Zero Balancing sessions my instructor asked for his contact details.

Rhys is gentle, skilled, effective, kind, calm. I recommend him to you. Please try it, and feel the difference for yourself.

We’re blown away by Rhys Dwyer for his passion and generosity in sharing the benefits of Zero Balancing. For many it sounds like a new therapy that is unfamiliar.

Having experienced 3 sessions with Rhys so far I can see and feel it’s grounding in acupressure, channel theory and Tuina (Chinese medical massage) and it’s extraordinary benefits. Each time I came away feeling a whole lot more myself than when I walked in - a sign of a good session for me ❤️

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived for my first session but the difference I felt afterwards was amazing. I feel so much better physically and the big thing for me was when I got a cold recently and it was gone in three days (unheard of for me).

I look forward to my monthly sessions. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

After 10 years of lower back pain and being told by my GP ‘here are some pain meds, get used to it’, I was struggling. A late surprise pregnancy at 40 years old added to my pain....and then my knee went....
ACC paid for physio - very little help. I visited an osteopath and while she treated symptoms at a time I still struggled between visits.

I saw Rhys’ ad in Facebook and decided to give it a go. What did I have to lose?
Rhys listens...and responds. Treatment is gentle (I often find myself wanting to fall asleep). I get up, I feel much the same as I did before. I go home and sleep....and I wake up a new person!

I am hooked. I tell everyone I met about ‘my guy’ who works his magic and makes me feel normal again. I am no longer in daily pain. I am not grumpy because of my pain.

I can’t recommend Rhys and his treatment enough.

If you are in pain, give it a go. What do you have to lose?

ZB is incredible. As a skeptic I was never going to be easily convinced, however you can’t argue with the results. Rhys is very professional, listens carefully and achieves excellent outcomes with problem areas.

One of the outcomes that I wasn’t expecting was the feeling of calm and well-being, it has also improved my balance in the saddle. We are fortunate to have such an excellent ZB practitioner in the Wellington area. Thank you 😊

Brilliant !! I recently had a Zero Balancing session with Rhys. Rhys has a professional, calm and caring manner, and listened to my concerns with regards to my neck/shoulder and hip pain. I had greatly reduced pain immediately after the session, and the pain then further dissipated over the following day or two leaving me feeling more mobile and pain-free. I would highly recommend having a ZB. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
